By now, we were both very efficient at packing our gear in the morning. Here, Mom rolls up the tent.
Columbia Finger
13,360'
Panorama from the JMT taken near the Columbia Finger facing southeast. Prominent features (left to right) include Echo Peaks, Matthes Ridge, Amelia Earhart Peak, Mt Florence, Mt Foerster, Triple Divide, Quartizte, Bruce, Buena Vista, and Sunrise.
Cathedral Pass
Looking down Cathedral Pass (9680') between Columbia Finger and Echo Peak.
A small outcropping by the JMT that we explored. This would be the literal high point of Mom's hike, as the top of this is just over 10,000' elevation. I would, however, exceed that in my day hike to the top of Donohue Pass.
From the Top
Mom points out Tresidder (far left, 10,600') and Echo Peaks (center, 11,160').

I believe this mule train was resupplying the Sunrise High Sierra Camp.

Refreshing
I took a short swim in Lower Cathedral Lake. It felt great to rinse off for the first time in a couple of days.
